Hello all,
Recently, we found one of our production SQL failover servers (we have Always On and the primary failed) had a whole bunch of differencing disks, which has been sat growing since 2013. These drives vary from around 30GB in size to 1.5TB.
What I need to do is convert them to fixed disks. Does anyone know if the sizes and the age of the drives will cause me an issue? Also, roughly how long it will take?
Parent 1: 1TB, Child 1: 700GB
Parent 2: 780GB, Child 2: 780GB
These are the 2 I'm most concerned about.
Host is Server 2012 and VM is Server 2008 R2.
Thanks
