Hyper-V 2012, removed from domain, lost VM's

I have a Hyper-V 2012 server, it was running my DC and VMM 2012.  I removed the Hyper-V server from the domain and rebooted.  The Hyper-V host was being managed by VMM.  Doesnt appear any of the VM's started back up automatically.

Now I can't see any of my VM's in Hyper-V manager.  I know I can get them back by creating a new VM and pointing them to the existing VM HD's or even copy the contents of the XML files and copy to the new guid XML, etc etc. 

Is there an easier way to recover in my siguation?
