You cannot browse the local file when connecting to a remote Hyper-v server

Yesterday i tried to perform an upgrade from hyper-v 2008r2 (Servercore) to hyper-v 2012 (Servercore), that didn't work. So started exporting the machines to a local disk on the same machine, then performed a clean install of hyper-v 2012 (Servercore). After the installation completed i tried to import the machines back into hyper-v 2012. When i hit browse in the import wizard the following error appears : You cannot browse the local file when connecting to a remote Hyper-v server

So after viewing the error, i tried to browse the hyper-v server and i could see the disk containing the exported virtual machines. After that i checked my ipconfiguration, ipconfig /flushdns,disabled firewall on both the server and client but it still didn't work.

Im using the hyper-v manager installed on Windows 7, this shouldn't be the problem i guess? Then tried to manually fill in the path to the exported machine folder (\\192.168.1.200\e$\VHD\Server 2008 R2 DC1) Then the following error appears : General acces denied error. Could this be the problem? While trying to browse does it use the hyper-v machine account to acces the ''hidden share''? This kinda make sense, if the machine cannot browse the shared folders on the hyper-v server it gives the error above?

Edit : created a share on one of the disks, but the same error appears : You cannot browse the local file when connecting to a remote Hyper-v server
