Hi All,
What I've basically done is created and configured a Windows 7x64 image (in hyper V) to my liking and now I would like to capture it and retrieve a .Wim file. With that wim file I'd then like to import it into MDT and then just use that as a base image and inject drivers as necessary for whichever hardware platform we need by using a task sequence. ( I know this probably isn't the best way to do it, but it's just a starting point for me)
My original thinking (keep in mind I have little exp with VM's) was that I could just configure this image, then boot that VM to GImageX and sysprep and capture the image and retrieve a .WIM file to use for MDT. Now either this is not possible, or I'm just not doing it correctly. That I do not know. Please help as best you can! Take into consideration that I'm new to this :-)
Any help would be much appreciated! I'm just trying to learn this stuff, and yes I've searched for hours on how to configure MDT and setup an imaging process. I currently have a GImageX/Sysprep imaging environment, but clearly WDS/MDT/Hyper V are MUCH more useful if I can figure them out, that is.
Thanks!
