i have a non DC windows server 2003 sp2 (x86) which needs to be Virtualized for windows server with hyper-v role. we don't have resources for scvmm or an extra hardware for it so we are going to use disk2vhd. I've read articles and here and there and know that there are some issues when p2v-ing 2003 servers via disk2vhd (drivers, not loading etc)
Anyone experienced, who has done p2v of 2003 server can give me an advice how to do it ? what is the process of converting it ?
regarding the server, it is 2003R2 sp2 standart edition, 2 cpus and no scsi controllers. there are 2 149gb disks , one of them is split for c (40gb) and d(109gb).
