Hello,

I am not sure where to post this because there are many variables.

We Have been running Windows Server 2k3 Small Business for years. We had two servers set up, both with roles as DC. One of them is our exchange server, while the other is a fileshare server.

A couple of weeks ago we virtualized each of these onto a new server running Server 2008 R2 using Hyper V as our virtualization software. The physical 2008 R2 has 2 roles, file sharing and I need to look at it to see the other but its not a domain controller.

The issue I am having is random users will intermittently go into offline mode and have to resync with the server to reconnect. The only thing we are syncing are their documents to the server, as they are not stored locally on their machines. this has been a major headache, their stations will slow to a crawl. They will lose access to our data base, and they cannnot access folders on the server. We also use a call recording set up that sends recorded calls to our server, but when the offline mode occures these calls are lost. These calls are important, we use them for training and developement.

All users having this issue are on windows XP Pro sp3. There are 4 other computers running windows 7 that dont seem to be influenced by this problem.

This problem has started only since we virtualized our server.

I know there is not enough information here to make any assumptions so please tell me what I need to provide and I will get the information for you.

Thanks in advance and please help!!!!!
