I've found a few threads discussing this already, but I'm afraid I need some step-by-step assistance. Much of this is first-time-experience for me. For example... NIC teaming, configuring a VLAN--have never done it, have no idea how. At least so far.
My end goal at the moment is to successfully install, configure and run Hamachi VPN. Unfortunately Hamachi as a Gateway client doesn't yet support Windows Server 2012--per LogMeIn support--so I've elected to run it in an Ubuntu Server instance instead.
Catch-21: Hamachi running in a VM requires Promiscuous Mode to be turned on in the VM's NIC. It's my understanding that this, while previously unsupported, can now be accomplished in Hyper-V 2012, albeit by running 'round Robin Hood's Barn.
Much as I'd like to, I don't yet know how to run 'round Robin Hood's Barn. Maybe someone who does can lend some advice?
Thanks,
Jeff Bowman
