My workstation is running Windows 10, fully patched and updated and a relatively recent install. On our domain we have several Hyper-V servers all running Windows Server 2012 Enterprise. On my workstation Hyper-V manager does not work. Upon starting, it
starts attempting to display connected servers but this phase is extremely slow. After awhile, the program becomes totally non-responsive and I have to exit using Task Manager. I've removed and reinstalled the Hyper-V management tools feature; I've reinstalled
the RSAT tools; I've disconnected all servers and started reconnecting; I've turned off the firewall and shut down our AV program. I've monitored Event Viewer but no messages appear when I attempt to connect. I've compared this machine to another Windows 10
machine and looked at settings and other configuration settings and they appear to be identical. The second machine's Hyper-V manager program starts right up and displays all VMs on all 5 of our Hyper-V servers within a few seconds. What could be wrong, and
how do I troubleshoot this?
