Storage migration of pooled VDI virtual machines

Hello,

I have a pooled VDI collection of 80 virtual machines that needs to be migrated to an new storage location. I was wondering if this is recommended or not, since VDI uses snapshots and an export location for the template. Rebuilding the collection is an option but if there is a fail-safe method for storage migration, I would rather go down that route.
