Hi,
I have a NVIDIA GT 650M Graphics Card on my notebook and running on Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. When I enable the Hyper-V Role, the system reboots with a Blue Screen. The error from the event log is:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x1000007e (0xffffffffc0000096, 0xfffff88006ac43cc, 0xfffff880025d3778, 0xfffff880025d2fd0).
I have:
- all the latest Windows Update.
- tried the drivers from Dell (causes SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION, (The bugcheck was: 0x0000003b (0x00000000c0000096, 0xfffff88004207e41, 0xfffff880067718f0, 0x0000000000000000).)
- tried the latest drivers from NVIDIA
- tried the beta drivers from NVIDIA
- tried the KB2551127 hotfix
- re-installed everything again
and still result in blue screen.
Removing the Hyper-V role will cause the system to boot normally without errors.
There are no options in the BIOS to set for Caching and Shadowing since this is a consumer notebook, the BIOS is pretty much basic.
I thought the Hyper-V with high-end Graphics Card BSOD-ing issue was already solved in SP1, so I just wanted to post this just in case if something has slipped through.
Thanx
Hugs,
Serena
