Hi All!
I am having a bizarre issue with some Hyper-V Guests having a BSOD with error code of 0x0000003b
Looking in the Hyper-V Hosts' event viewer I could only find the following event just around the same time as the BSOD:
Log Name: Microsoft-Windows-VHDMP/Operational
Source: Microsoft-Windows-VHDMP
Date: 7/08/2012 11:21:09 AM
Event ID: 2
Task Category: None
Level: Information
Keywords:
User: NETWORK SERVICE
Computer: DATAC12.domain.local
Description:
The VHD C:\ClusterStorage\volume57\SERVER01\SERVER01.vhd has been removed (unsurfaced) as disk number 0.
Event Xml:
<Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event">

<Data Name="VhdDiskNumber">0</Data>
</EventData>
</Event>
This particular VM is in a HA Cluster, and I've had another guest server BSOD (same error code) on a different Hyper-V host (The different host had the same event log), but in the same HA cluster.
Just wondering if this Event means anything important? Couldn't find anything about it online. Could this message mean the VHD was removed from the virtual server?
Thanks,
Anthony
