I am trying to create a desktop link to a specific vm within the Hyper-V (Server 2012r2). The local machine is Windows 10. I have it working to the point that if I run vmconnect 6.3 from either a desktop shortcut or a command line (neither with the usual parameters as to the server or vm) it is fine, but it shows the whole list of vms available. But, when I add the <server> and <vm> parameters to either to limit it and go directly where needed, it errors with:
"An error occured when trying to register events for 'TargetVM'. To fix the problem, restart the virtual machine. If that does not resolve the problem, restart the Virtual Machine Management service, and check the Windows Firewall.
RPC server unavailable. Unable to establish communication between 'Hyper-V-Server' and 'LocalMachine'."
Again, when run without the parameters, it is fine and connects to the machine when selected from the list. Any ideas?
